AI Replacing Jobs? Or Governments Just Changing Where They Tax?

A wild side convo kicked off around GST vs income tax. Someone visiting the UAE dropped this bomb: “India’s basically given up on collecting income tax at scale. Now it’s all GST.”

Soon we were discussing whether governments will tax AI, or just hike corporate tax to compensate. The convo went from memes to Marx (yeah, actual Karl Marx references), to startup survival advice in a world where automation eats jobs.

Moral? Even in hypercasual group chats, the brains show up
